Crew Member
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Implementing the restaurant plan in order to meet established operating standards, sales and profits. This is
accomplished primarily through: performing the work functions in the Seven Basic Stations as needed; effectively
implementing the local store marketing plans; working in a manner that helps to control costs and providing every
customer with outstanding service. Works in a manner that is consistent and in compliance with the SONIC
franchise license agreement, the SONIC-Drive-in Operations Manual, the drive-in's standard operations systems
and drive-in policies and procedures.

Working Experience:
Six months in retail or food service operations preferred, but not required.

Working Knowledge:
General knowledge and understanding of restaurant or retail operations preferred, but not required.
Assistant Manager
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assists the drive-in management in implementing and monitoring the restaurant plan in order to meet established
operating standards, sales and profits. This is accomplished primarily through: assisting in hiring, training and
motivating crew-members; effectively implementing the local store marketing plans; working in a manner that
helps to control costs; assisting in managing daily restaurant operations; and providing every customer with
outstanding service. Works and manages in a manner that is consistent and in compliance with the SONIC
franchise license agreement, the SONIC-Drive-in Operations Manual, the drive-in's standard operations systems
and drive-in policies and procedures.

Working Experience:
Six months as assistant manager in retail or food service operations and/or equivalent SONIC experience and
STAR certification in all stations is required. One to two years of restaurant experience preferred.

Working Knowledge:
General knowledge and understanding of restaurant or retail operations is required. General knowledge of
functional support areas, including human resources, training and marketing is preferred.
Manager-Trainee
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Trains to take a leadership role in following the restaurant plan to achieve established operating standards, sales
and profits with minimal supervision. This is achieved primarily by providing help in the areas of: hiring; training
managers and crew; day-to-day operations, related administration, marketing and maintenance of the restaurant
in a manner that customer service is maximized. Helps to make certain that the restaurant is consistently operated
in accordance with SONIC's franchise agreement and the drive-in's operations systems and policies and
procedures. Assumes full responsibility for the drive-in in manager's or partner's absence. There is no specific time
period on manager training.

Working Experience:
One to two years of assistant management in a restaurant or retail environment; or equivalent SONIC experience;
or up to six months of general management experience in a restaurant or retail environment. A minimum of one to
two years of restaurant operations experience preferred but not required.

Working Knowledge:
General knowledge of restaurant or retail day-to-day operations. A familiarity with the functional support areas of
human resources, training, marketing, finance, payroll and point-of-sale systems.
